About Me:
Hi there! My name is Sheryl Rasie and I started volunteering as ENGGYAC’s Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) Subcouncil Chair back in Summer of 2023. My engineering career journey has been relatively diverse. I started my journey in the corrosion sector with ATCO, specializing in cathodic protection (CP) design and pipeline integrity. In 2021, I decided to take a non-technical position with APEGA as an EDI speaker and coordinator where I worked on increasing the representation of women and underrepresented groups in the engineering and geoscience professions in Alberta. This temporary break from the technical aspect of engineering has enriched my knowledge of how EDI and engineering principles can find alignment. On my return to pipeline integrity, I took a role as a Program Manager - E.I.T. II with Enbridge Liquid Pipelines where I currently plan and execute In-Line Inspections. With my work at Enbridge and my work in EDI with ENGGYAC, I am grateful to be able to join my two passions of both Engineering and EDI.
Fun Fact:
I love to cook a wide variety of cuisines! It brings out my creative side and allows me to experiment to see what flavors taste good together!
